First things first, I had a boyfriend before Simon. His name was, is, I don't remember if he died or not but his name was or is or something Eugene. Eugene Dorn. I wasn't as close with Eugene as I am with Simon, maybe because he was or is a meglomaniac. I wonder why I was attracted in the first place, maybe the money, maybe the prestige. Maybe because he was like a saner version of me.
